Kyle Veazey, Jackson Clarion Ledger, OXFORD — An attorney in Houston, Texas is considering filing a $10 million lawsuit against Ole Miss on behalf of the family of Bennie Abram, a walk-on football player who died during conditioning drills on Feb. 19, 2010. In a five-page letter, dated today, that the firm said it sent to UM chancellor Dan Jones, attorney Gene Egdorf of Lanier Law Firm serves notice of the potential suit. Mississippi law requires a 90-day notice before such suits are filed.
